Hunter Lankford


Hunter Lankford is President of SouthernStone Cabinets and Managing Member of SunCoast Cabinet Supplies. First and foremost, though he is a husband, father and Parrot Head.

After spending 25 years with a Fortune 100 company managing contract sales in the state of Florida, he and Julie decided it was time to get back to their roots. After much consideration and time spent to find the right fit they were introduced to their new Florida families. Longevity in the business and long tenured teams at both businesses is what drew them to SouthernStone Cabinets and SunCoast Cabinet Supplies. Hunter holds a Business Administration degree from Elon University.

Mark Bennett

General Manager

Mark was born in a small town in South Wales.  He is the son of a Bricklayer whom inspired him into having, some kind of trade.  After leaving school he decided to pursue a higher education in the Cabinet industry and put himself through University to study techniques in Cabinet Making, training on a wide selection of wood machines which lead him to cabinet engineering, CNC Tooling, design and installation techniques.  He has been involved in the industry for the past 36 years and has been in Florida with his wife Sylvia for the past 10 years in varying roles at Cabinet, Mill and panel processing shops in the area.  Marks says he has really enjoyed getting to know the team and really enjoys working with everyone

Daniel Medero

Shop Manager

Danny has been with SouthernStone Cabinets for almost 20 years. He ran the edge bander for the first 6 years of his employment, then moved into our custom department, where he worked on all custom cabinets.

Today, Danny oversees all aspects of production in the shop from recruiting, training and hiring of all shop personal, as well as making sure all customer orders run through each department smoothly and are completed in a timely manner.

Daniel’s favorite thing about SouthernStone Cabinets? “Our family atmosphere and our commitment to excellence.”

Beth Kelker


Beth Kelker came on board in April 2019. She has over 25 years’ experience in accounting and bookkeeping crossing several industries. She moved to the area in 2017 from Austin, TX and took time to get to know her new surroundings before rejoining the workforce full-time. Beth brings superb attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

She is responsible for truck load scheduling and customer notifications, accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales tax, to name a few. When asked what drew her to SouthernStone Cabinets, LLC, her response “…the family feel and wonderful team along with a commitment to excellence in the industry.”. She also added that she “looks forward to a very long tenure with SouthernStone and learning as much as she can about the company, its customers and the custom cabinet industry.”

Gary Beers

Customer Service

Gary is a long-time veteran of SouthernStone Cabinets. He has a total of nearly 36 years’ experience within the cabinet industry to which 25 of those years he has been processing orders. Gary has previously worked with commercial cabinetry, custom cabinetry and with millwork.

Gary is very knowledgeable of all our products and can answer any question you may have about our European style cabinets! In fact, the question Gary is most commonly asked is: What substrate should I use for my cabinets?

What does he love most about being part of the SouthernStone Cabinets team? “I like working for a large company with a small company feel.”

Penny Brown

Customer Service

Penny has over 7 years’ experience within the cabinet industry and over 3 years with SouthernStone Cabinets. She is knowledgeable in our pricing program and strives to provide each customer a service experience that exceeds their expectations.

Prior to joining our team, Penny was in a management position where she oversaw the scheduling of installations and customer service. She has also worked in sales and product design.

Brian Mills

Customer Service

Brian is a lifelong resident of Pinellas County. He started in the custom closet business in 2001, and with SouthernStone in 2012. He has vast knowledge on various machines and is always willing to do whatever is needed to support his team. His new role in customer service allows him to take that support to a new level and make sure the customer gets the very best experience they have come to expect from SouthernStone.

Brian is an avid Tampa Bay Sports fan, cheering on the Lightning, Bucs and Rays.  In his downtime, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Jen, and all the things his hometown has to offer. He has traveled the U.S. extensively and is proud to call Tampa Bay his home.

Renee Norberg

Customer Service

Renee joined SouthernStone customer service team in November of 2020.  She brings with her 21 years of experience and exceptional Customer Service Experience.

Prior to coming to SouthernStone Renee focused on all the aspects of the door department with her previous employer.

Renee is looking forward to expanding on her current knowledge as well as familiarizing herself with all the daily processes here at SouthernStone Cabinets.

Renee wants to ensure our customers continue to receive exceptional service with all of their interactions here at SouthernStone.

Andrew King

Warehouse Supervisor

Andrew King was born in Freeport, Bahamas and has been in FL about 10 years. He has a strong work ethic and strives to be punctual, disciplined, and reliable.  Prior to working at SouthernStone, he spent 4 ½ years as warehouse supervisor in the cabinet hardware industry.  He looks forward to utilizing his previous knowledge and gaining more skills as he grows and becomes more proficient in his position at SouthernStone.

Scott Sheppard

Delivery Driver

Scott has been employed by SouthernStone Cabinets for 5 years and has held a clean CDL license for 33 years.

His responsibilities are to inspect the truck for any safety issues prior to leaving each day, deliver all orders to the appropriate destination for each customer in a safe and timely manner and to assist our customers with any question they may have during his delivery.

Scott enjoys his job and prides himself on being the face of the company. He has two cats that he simply adores and in his spare time, he enjoys riding his motorcycle and working on cars.
